Putin: Russia to build 200 waste recycling plants until 2024

MOSCOW, Dec 20 (PRIME) -- Russia plans to build about 200 waste recycling plants before 2024, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday during an annual press conference.

“We are to build 200 waste recycling plants in the several coming years, before 2024. I don’t know whether it would be enough. But we have to build at least 200 plants in the country,” he said.

Some environmental experts and citizens are against building the plants.

“But we need these plants to be of quality and efficient, we need them to spare no money on filters, which is the most expensive part of the recycling and burning plants. We need them to be built using corresponding technologies and methodology,” he said.
